Electric Bass for Live

Are you looking for an all-time favourite bass instrument? A true legend of music history that enhances every production?
Studio Bass is your answer - four instruments in one, delivering the powerful, expressive sound of a classic electric bass guitar. Its four different characters cover all the most-used articulations, string types and amplifier/effects combinations.

Round and Flat

The spinning of the strings around the string core is one of the keys to getting a smoother or a more aggressive bass sound. With Studio Bass you have the flexibility to decide which string sound works for you.

Classic round-wound strings are most popular among bass players. They provide a crisp and clean sound with rich textures and overtones.

Vintage flat-wound strings were popular in the 60s and early 70s. They sound less bright and provide an authentic vintage effect.

Fingers and Pick

Studio Bass brings the authentic articulations you get from a real bass player, and gives you the freedom to switch between fingered or picked playing styles.

The finger bass racks feature automatic round robin for index and middle finger, providing true-to-life varieties of string attack.
Pick bass racks offer automatic up-and-down strokes with a plectrum.

Articulations

Every genre requires a unique bass playing technique. The wide range of sampled bass articulations included in Studio Bass makes it deeply expressive. Dead notes, muted notes, slides, hammer-ons, pull-offs, even the positioning of the left hand - such a fluent range gives the foundations of your music unrivaled detail and vitality.

Bass Grooves

Sometimes it only takes a minor tweak to an existing phrase to give a track extra bass precision, and with a variety of 84 expressive Live Clips you have plenty to inspire you.

12 Instrument Racks

Across the four different bass guitar instruments provided, there are 12 ready-made instrument racks ready for you to drag and drop into your session. Not only do these offer up instant single knob controls of articulations, dead note volume and velocity sensitivity, but also common combinations of effects and amp simulators so that you can shape your sound into something that best suits your track.
